Partnership with Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture

  • Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture is a non-profit farm and education center with a mission to change the way America eats and farms. Students and teachers learn about agriculture firsthand on a working farm and build connections to the food we eat.
  • Our Students visit the farm twice, once in the spring and one in the fall, and participate in theExploring the Farm, Two-hour experience.
  • While at the farm, students dig in to discover the sustainable farming methods used at Stone Barns and better understand how the farm works as an ecosystem.  Seasonally relevant explorations of the vegetable growing areas and livestock habitats help students to get closer to the sources of their food, and a hands-on chore gives them a tactile way to get involved in sustainable agriculture.
